Remembrance Into Reunion
Why We Gather
Memorial Chancellor Day began with remembrance.
We came together to honor the family, friends, neighbors and familiar faces the Chancellor community had lost.
But remembrance brought something else with it — reunion.
People who had moved away came back. Old friends reconnected. Families shared stories. Generations met one another. Food, music, laughter and memories filled the same space.
What began as a way to remember those no longer physically with us became an annual reminder that the Chancellor community is still here.
The block may change. The roots remain.

Forever Chancellor
We Carry Their Names With Us
The Forever Chancellor Memorial Wall exists to preserve the names, photographs and memories of Chancellor community members who have passed. Memorial Chancellor Day is where those names are spoken out loud together.
Submissions are added to the existing Forever Chancellor Remembrance Registry and are reviewed before anything appears publicly.

Names from the Forever Chancellor Registry are never placed on merchandise automatically. Only names where the family has explicitly granted permission for community memorial projects may ever be considered, case by case.
